Most of our nearby pool competitions are held at South Australia Aquatic & Leisure Centre (SAALC) in Oaklands Park.
Click here to find it on GoogleMaps.
Typically the event will say it’s from 8:30 AM to 1:00 PM. What this means is that the centre opens around 8:10, pool opens for warm up and dives at 8:30, events start at 9 AM (no more dive practice once events start).
It’s a fairly large centre with a few entrances. We use this entrance at the south of the building:

Once you’re in you can go up the stairs to the left. Once you’re up we’re in the bay that’s the second on the right (Bay 3/4). That’s the part of the stands we occupy (seats at the front).
Keep an eye out for this board:

It’s telling people that anyone in Event 13 should go to the marshalling area, which is directly under the Adelaide Masters spot in the stands (Bay 3/4). Ask someone if you can’t find it. Sometimes the board isn’t updated properly, so it’s a good idea to keep your eye on the actual event and heat currently being run:

You’ll want to be at the marshalling area about 10 minutes prior to your event, so you’ll obviously need to judge how fast the heats are going to be — heats of 25m freestyle are going to pass a lot faster than heats of 200m breaststroke!
